Descent from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe
DETAILS OF THE WORK:
- The Sanctuary of Guadalupe, located on the hill of Tepeyac in Mexico City, is visited on that day by more than 5 million people.
- It belongs to the Archdiocese of Mexico through the Guadalupan Vicariate, established on November 4, 2018.
- It is under the care of Monsignor Salvador Martínez Ávila, who holds the title of Vicar General and Episcopal Vicar of Guadalupe, as well as Abbot of the Basilica.
- Construction: 1682–1708
- Plateresque Baroque style, with an eclectic baldachin above the altar.
